"HAPPEE NEWWW YEEEEEEAR!!!", I'd scream and shout while jumping like there's no tomorrow... I'd try to beat the noises from the neighbors' firecrackers and like every year, wouldn't accept the imminent defeat.
After a couple of minutes, I'd go settle down... have a peaceful media noche (what we call the feast at midnight, in celebration of the switch in years) with my family, take a few pictures, maybe go check some stuff online, then retire and welcome the first morning of the new year feeling lazy after a few hours.
Up until now, I haven't really thought of how I celebrated and welcomed the new year... never thought of it much as a routine. But it sure seems like one, I've come to realize.
Oh, but this new year, I'd be welcoming the new year without my partners-in-crime, i mean partners-in-screaming. 'Te Yin's in Italy while Coy's in Tagaytay.
Oh, looks like it's going to be a much more tranquil year.
...weird.

2008 is ending soon...It's been a good year...
I thank God for a lot of blessings... I've gone places, literally. =)
Work has brought me to Davao, and I've finally set foot on a small part of Mindanao! I'm definitely coming back... to Mindanao... it's Davao and beyond.
Work with the Gen had me go visit Tagaytay -many times this year-, Baguio -a new record for this year too-, Pampanga, and Palawan. For those trips, with the exception of Palawan though we didn't go much beyond Puerto Princesa, I haven't really gone around much. I'm definitely going back to visit Palawan!
Tourism... it's been a good year, I've had tourist-y moments, and lots of them!
Got to visit Cebu with Desi, HongKong with my family, Cebu again - plus Bohol - with Doki and Kirs, and Canyonwoods in Laurel, Batangas with the HMs.
True, I may have spent quite a sum -not as much as you think though- but, I enjoyed those trips with family and friends! Disclaimer: I don't earn a lot -yup, it's waaaay lower than you imagine- but I sure saved a lot.
I'm CERTIFIED KURIPOT, except when it comes to those little trips. Whatever I save, I also give to those in need, it's all good... there have been donations sent to Unicef (which I have to discontinue to give to other orgs which need it more), One LaSalle (promised, yet to be picked up), etc. I promise you, whoever you might be, if you give part of what you earn, it comes back... you wouldn't even imagine how come you've had money both saved and given.
Am sooooo looking forward to what 2009 has in store for me.
